Boyfriend Sweater & Boyfriend Jeans

Hello! How is your week going? I am in the best mood right now because the weather is beautiful, and I watched the most adorable movie last night while making dinner. It's called The Lunchbox, and it's a combination of two of my favorite things: Indian food & love. I highly recommend it.

I wore this to work last week, and it was so sunny and beautiful when I got home, that we took a walk and snapped these pictures for the blog. I was running late that morning (which is most mornings for me), and trying to put together an outfit in a rush always takes way too long. These ripped, boyfriend jeans are great for the casual vibe of my workplace, but the black sweater, heeled sandals and leather bag pull it together enough so that I don't look like I just rolled out of bed. This is also the first time I've noticed how much I like the oversized chain strap of the Boy bag - definitely edgier and more youthful than the Classic Flap.

Speaking of edgy - I love ripped denim. Although it's been very popular in the blogosphere & in the fashion world for the last few seasons, I get some mixed reviews from friends & fam every time I wear these in real life. How do you feel about it? I still adore them, and I'd love to add in a pair of super ripped white denim for this summer, as well as a pair of boyfriend shorts. The key to the "boyfriend" fit is to pair it with feminine accessories - heels or wedges are great for that - and to make sure that while the fit is a bit oversized in some places, it's tight enough in others that it doesn't look baggy or saggy.
