1 Scarf, 2 Ways: The Easy Wrap

Although they are beautiful & timeless, I've always been a bit confused as to how to wear a silk scarf. I love the way they look when used in home decor, and Kimmy Wallace sure knows how to rock one in my favorite movie, but I was pretty clueless as to how to incorporate one into my own everyday look. Thankfully, while I was in Austin last December, my boyfriend's mom introduced me to Johnny Was. Not only does the brand sell a wide variety of beautiful silk scarves, the sales girls in the store are exceptionally nice, and we had a lot of fun trying on new ways to wear this classic accessory. Ever since then, I've been looking at silk scarves in a whole new light, and I thought it would be fun to share a couple of ways for you to wear them too.

For this first version, I'm wearing the scarf as a wrap, which is suuuuper easy to achieve: you just fold the scarf in half (hotdog style!), and tie the ends together in a double knot. To wear it, put your arms through each opening, and voila! Paired with a white tank top and jeans, it's young and easy to pull off.

Those of you who follow me on Instagram (or read this post), know that I escaped the bitter cold of the east coast this weekend for a little sun in Los Angeles. I had the best time with my partner in crime, who is now my official west coast photographer :). She was such a good sport to take these pictures for me.. love you, H!

Round two of the "1 Scarf, 2 Ways" will be up on Friday, so be sure to check back to vote on your favorite! Thanks for reading xx
